Svømmehaller søger kommunal håndsrækning

Stigende energipriser og svigtende indtægter har fået svømmehaller i Lemvig og Thyborøn til at søge ekstra penge fra kommunen.

Wærket i Thyborøn og Lemvig Idræts- og Kulturcenter har rakt hånden ud til Lemvig Kommune, da de mangler penge i deres budgetter.

Wærket efterspørger et ekstraordinært tilskud på omkring 1.6 mio. kroner samt lån for små 6.0 millioner. Den ærgerlige situation har ifølge Dagbladet Stuer rod i stigende energipriser og fortsatte efterveer fra de adskillige coronanedlukninger.

Derudover er en planlagt renovering endt med at blive meget dyrere end forventet.

Hos idrætscenteret i Lemvig søger man penge til et renoveringsprojekt, der blandt andet omfatter et nyt varmtvandsbassin. Renoveringen er sat til at skulle koste et sted imellem 10-13 mio. kroner.

Familie- og kulturudvalget i Lemvig Kommune tager stilling til de to håndsrækninger i starten af uge 32.
